IT Operations Technician

C3EL is seeking IT Operations Technicians to support large-scale data center network operations. The IT Operations Technician will play a crucial role in troubleshooting, systems installation, and project delivery within a state-of-the-art data center. The ideal candidates will be able to efficiently enforce security best practices and contribute to the enhancement of operational processes.

This 1099K opportunity will support short-to-medium term (3-9 Months) projects with the possibility of extension based on project needs or of transitioning to full-time employment at contract end.

Job Responsibilities:

• Efficiently prioritize and resolve system and network issues to ensure system reliability.
• Troubleshoot Linux and multi-platform technical issues.
• Manage physical layer outages and power issues on server racks.
• Conduct hardware diagnostics and replacement, adhering to security practices.
• Implement small to mid-scale projects and contribute to the development of the world's largest cloud infrastructure.
• Meet rigorous 24x7 shift and on-call responsibilities.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Three (3) or more years of experience in large scale data center operations.
• Advanced experience in server operating systems.
• Proficient in troubleshooting server hardware and basic network operations.
• Experience with remote access tools and intermediate network administration.
• Understanding of cabling infrastructure and troubleshooting.
• Ability to work autonomously, with strong analytical and communication skills.
• Knowledge of data center hygiene, safety, and security standards.

Desired Qualifications:

• Advanced skills in Linux Administration.
• Knowledgeable in data center power and cooling systems.
• Familiarity with programming languages.
• Technical certifications preferred.

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in an IT related field preferred.
